Sundays were made for Brunch!

Anyone who knows me knows that brunch is one of my most favorite things to do. (Evidence) When you are a busy bougie mom, it can be hard to find the time to travel to wine country and make reservations for brunch and wine tasting all in the same day.  If you live in or near Sacramento (or are here just visiting), the great news is that we have so many options!

Today, I had the chance to celebrate my God-sister’s birthday with an intimate brunch with her friends and then wine tasting at

Wolfe Heights Estates, a local Winery in Sacramento.

Our bougie brunch started off with a mimosa bar—sparkling wine and various juice options. Our host had a beautiful decorated table with serving dishes, elevated tiers and flowers to add to the elegant affair.  We enjoyed a spread of cinnamon rolls, croissants, muffins, eggs, fruit, sausage, bacon, and home style potatoes.  These breakfast items were pretty easy to prepare and were perfect for our gathering.  And of course, every bougie event can be elevated by picking a theme or color for the group—today it was all about different shades of blue! After breakfast, we headed to the winery for tasting.

At Wolfe Heights Estates Winery we had an afternoon reservation and were greeted with  reserved seating for our group.

The winery does have recommended tasting flights, but because we were in a group, we were able to order several bottles wines from the menu and create our own flights for our large group.

The winery has a wide selection of white and red wines. The 2020 Lodi brut was delightful and paired well with the charcuterie boards we purchased. The group also enjoyed the Wiebel

Almond Soarkling Wine, WH Peach Mango Sparkling? and the 2020 Old Vine Zinfandel.

I’ve been to Wolfe Heights several times for their monthly Mimosa Sundays events. During those events last year, you could enjoy a savory brunch with seasonal items, bottomless mimosas, live music, and wine pairings with their scenic vineyard views.  The grounds are stunning.

While they aren’t doing mimosa Sundays currently, they do have several upcoming events any busy bougie mom should definitely check you!

All and all, we had a beautiful Sunday with food, wine, and friendship. I highly recommend every busy bougie mom find the time to do local meet ups with friends.
